Budget Calculator User's Guide
Welcome! This guide will quickly show you how to use this calculator to create your personal budget.
Step 1: Enter Your Monthly Income
- In the "Total Monthly Income" field, enter your total take-home pay after taxes. Include any extra income you have.
Step 2: List Your Monthly Expenses
- Fill in the amounts for the expense categories provided. For costs that change, like groceries, use a recent average.
Step 3: Customize Your Categories
- Add an Expense: Click the "Add Expense Category" button to create a new row for your own spending categories.
- Remove an Expense: Click the "Remove" button next to any category that doesn't apply to you.
Step 4: Analyze Your Results
- The Summary: At the top, you’ll see your total income, expenses, and your Remaining Balance. This shows you if you're saving money or overspending.
- The Chart: The chart gives you a quick visual of where your money is going.
