How to Use This Calculator (User Manual)

This tool helps you estimate the future value of your investments. Follow these simple steps to get your projection:

1. Select Your Investment Type

  • Monthly (SIP): Choose this if you plan to invest a fixed amount every month. This is also known as a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP).
  • Lumpsum: Choose this if you are making a one-time, single investment.

2. Choose Your Currency

Select your local currency from the dropdown menu to see all financial values displayed correctly.

3. Enter Your Investment Details

  • Investment Amount: If you chose SIP, this is the amount you'll invest each month. If you chose Lumpsum, this is the total one-time investment amount. You can use the slider or type the number directly.
  • Expected Return Rate (% p.a.): This is the annual rate of return you expect from your investment. For mutual funds, this can range from 10% to 15% on average, but it is not guaranteed.
  • Time Period (Years): The total duration for which you plan to stay invested.

4. See Your Results

After entering the details, the results on the right will update automatically. You will see:

  • Invested Amount: The total principal amount you have put in over the entire period.
  • Estimated Returns: The wealth you have gained on your investment (the profit).
  • Total Value: The final maturity amount, which is the sum of your invested amount and the returns.
  • Visual Chart: The doughnut chart provides a clear visual breakdown of your investment versus your returns.

What is a SIP Calculator?

A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) Calculator is a financial tool designed to help you understand the potential future value of your investments made through SIPs. It takes your monthly investment amount, the expected annual return rate, and the investment duration to project a maturity amount.

The Power of Compounding

The magic behind SIPs is the power of compounding. This means you don't just earn returns on your principal amount, but you also earn returns on the returns already generated. Over long periods, this can lead to significant wealth creation, which this calculator helps to visualize.
